Epsom North stands as a modest yet functional choice for travelers seeking value and convenience in the Epsom area. Situated at 272 Kingston Rd, Ewell, this low-rise hotel offers easy access to local transport, including a 14-minute walk to Stoneleigh railway station and close proximity to Epsom town centre, making it a practical base for leisure or business visits.
The hotel embraces a budget-friendly ethos with rooms that are clean and spacious, featuring large comfortable beds that many guests find restful. While the décor and amenities show signs of age—the televisions, for instance, feel distinctly vintage—it remains a serviceable option for those prioritizing a good night's sleep over luxury. The absence of an elevator is noted but understandable given its two-floor layout.
What truly stands out at Epsom North is the warmth and helpfulness of the staff, consistently praised across reviews. Their courteous service enhances the overall experience, lending a personal touch that elevates an otherwise simple stay. The free parking is a definite plus for motorists, easing one common travel worry. However, the lack of on-site dining is offset by the adjacent pub, where guests can enjoy breakfast or a casual meal within a convenient walking distance.
Some practical drawbacks emerge in guest feedback such as occasional maintenance quirks—a cracked shower head, mild bath staining—and spotty WiFi connectivity. These minor imperfections hint at a need for selective upgrades, perhaps modernizing entertainment options and bolstering internet quality to meet contemporary expectations. Pricing inquiries by visitors underscore occasional inconsistencies, suggesting potential room for better value alignment.
Ultimately, Epsom North offers a "clean, cheap, and cheerful" refuge well-suited to those who seek straightforward accommodation without extraneous frills. Its quiet location, friendly atmosphere, and solid essentials recommend it as a reliable stopover for workers on the go or visitors exploring Surrey’s environs. While not lavish, its genuine hospitality and practical amenities provide a reassuring sense of comfort that many travelers will appreciate.

Comfortable stay. Large room with a big comfy bed. En suit had a cracked shower head but not a huge issue. Staff are really helpful and parking was free. Pub next door is nice for breakfast with friendly staff, specially for an early start.
No problems at all. Decent place to stay overnight and do the things we needed to do during the day. Staff pleasant and helpful. However on checking other local premier inns(the new Tolworth premier in) I found that 2 nights there would cost me under£100 for02 nights. I paid £144. Why was that so expensive?? Next week, same days is also under £100 at Epsom north premier inn.
Staff were all really lovely and super helpful. Rooms were standard for Premier Inn, only downside is the bath had that slightly orangey stain where the shower water would hit it. No other complaints though.
Nice little location, doesn't appear to have a lift to the first floor (it's only on 2 floors) and it doesn't have a restaurant (there's a pub within about a 30 second walking distance). Had the best weeks sleep in ages here, highly recommend it. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. The free WiFi is a little bit poor though.
Dated rooms but serviceable. Needs to get wide screen TVs and get rid of the ones from 1985. No breakfast option even though it is behind a pub that offers dinners. Shower pressure is amazing, I left the hotel bald. Would stay again just for the shower.
Clean, Cheap & Cheerful if a little bit dated. Ideal if you just need a place to lay your head whilst working away, or to use as a jump off point for local attractions. The hotel has no breakfast facilities but I knew this before booking and made alternate arrangements. All facilities were what I would have expected for a Hotel in this price range, helpful friendly staff. There is a pub right next door for decent grub and a pint. My only cause for concern would be the car park, the lower part was well lit and pleasant but the upper car park was not and was quite foreboding, there are several vehicles that have clearly been abandoned, and the floor was littered with evidence of drug usage (empty baggies and dozens of Nitrous Oxide canisters).
This contemporary, low-rise budget hotel set beside a pub is a 14-minute walk from Stoneleigh rail station and 3.4 miles from Epsom town centre.
